Steve was one of my best friends in highschool at La Serna High in Whittier, CA. My first memory of him was how he always looked at the sky before I knew him. He later told me he wanted to be a pilot one day. He always talked from behind a huge smile which earned him the name "smilin Steve". He would always tell me to stop singing in his car haha. I remember after highschool he lived near me in Fullerton. We all dressed up like ghosts at one of his Halloween parties. He was an epic BMX rider. You can still look him up on YouTube and find his instructional videos. He would ride down beach blvd with us on his bike once a year for BBC (beach blvd crew) after he moved to SD. I remember for being a single speed bike he was so fast! I regret not contacting him in the last few years. I always told stories about Steve. Like the time him and a friend of ours got caught peeing on the window of my bedroom by my mom. Ha! I remember he used to always "give D" instead of a hand shake, it was a pound of fists. We made a shirt in Ms. Kim's digital arts class that said "some D?" On it and I just happened to be wearing it today when I found out about his passing! I almost threw it away last week but somthing told me to hold onto it. Steve is truly a legendary man. From his positive attitude to his "think positive tattoo" I will never forget him. Forever swellbow! Forever good times. I love you brother! Rip in paradise! - Ryan Young
